Who it helps
Therapy after a pregnancy loss
For an adult whose pregnancy ended, early or late, whether last week or years ago.
What sessions look like
Fifty minutes, one to one, in the office or by video. You can talk about the loss, about the days around it, or about nothing at all for a while. Yolanda listens first and asks later.
Some people want to name what happened, tell it in order, or say what they could not say at the hospital or at home. Others come because of the person they are now: tired, short with the people they love, or unsure whether they are allowed to grieve.
The method
Talk therapy, with grief and perinatal training behind it. Where you want a practical skill, such as a way through a due date, a holiday or a returning invitation, Yolanda will teach one. Your clinician explains each method before using it.
Good to know
What this is not, and how it is paid
What this is not
Not medical care, and not advice about a pregnancy, a cycle or a treatment. Your physician or midwife is the one to ask. Yolanda does not prescribe.
How long and how often
You and Yolanda set the pace together, and you can change it. There is no set number of sessions.
How it is paid
You pay for each session yourself, and we give you a receipt to send to your plan. How the fee is set and the good faith estimate are on the fees page.

Questions
Three questions about this service
Do I have to talk about the loss?
No. You choose what to say and when. Some people spend the first sessions on something else entirely.
Does it matter how early the loss was?
No. A loss in the first weeks and a loss late in a pregnancy are both welcome here, and so is a loss from years ago.
Can my partner come too?
Yes, to some sessions or all of them, at the same fee. See the page for partners and family.
Would you like to begin?
Write to us with the times that suit you. You do not have to explain why.
